Everton vs. Spurs Gamethread

I didn't know Moyes could smile

After a 5 month delay thanks to those pesky rioters, Everton travels to White Hart Lane to take on a quality Spurs side. Both squads have an injury bug, but Everton will be with 7 senior side players, 5 of whom would have possibly featured today. Of course from a U.S. perspective, this match will feature 3 Americans, Tim Howard and Brad Friedel will both mind the nets today, and Landon Donovan is almost certain to see action given the injury crisis. With this being Donovan's 3rd game in 8 days, it will be interesting to see how his fitness holds up. Lineups will be posted when we get them

.Everton XI: Howard, Neville, Heitinga, Distin, Baines, Donovan, Fellaini, Bilyaletdinov, Cahill, Anichebe, Saha.

Spurs XI: Friedel, Walker, Dawson, Kaboul, Bale, Lennon, Livermore, Modric, Bale, Van Der Vaart, Adebayor.

Everton Bench: Drenthe, Denis, Gueye, Vellios, Duffy, Mucha, Faddy.

Spurs Bench: Cudicini, Bassong, Rose, Kranjcar, Pienaar, Defoe, Pavlyuchenk

He came back on Saturday

but my guess is Moyes is being cautious given the 7 injuries we already have. Probably will see him in the second half as a sub

My god

Now Distin is hurt too? OUR strikers could get goals with Heitinga as the best CB defending them.

Disappointing

We create chances, but the lack of a top flight striker is painfully obvious. Saha..is just awful. He can’t finish or put the ball on target, even.
