In the Guardian article, it talks about how Everton brought in "Denis Stracqualursi, the Argentina striker signed on a season's loan after failing to impress Sven- Göran Eriksson on trial at Leicester."

Let it sink in for a second.

Ok, Everton sold Yakubu to Blackburn for a pittance but needy to clear wages I get it.  The board sells Arteta to Arsenal (who takes a pay cut to go to Arsenal) for 10 million pounds, ok business decision got it.

Finally Beckford to Leicester City for 3.5-4.5 million pounds (depending on what you read).  Ok so we sell Beckford to a team that rejected Denis Stracqualursi.  So Leicester City said no thanks to Denis Stracqualursi but yes please to Beckford.  Say what you want about selling Arteta but that information about Denis Stracqualursi is very troubling.
