Barkley signs new Everton deal
Just like buses, you wait all season for good news and two come along at once. Hot-on-the-heels of the announcement regarding Landon Donovan's return, teenager Ross Barkley has now committed his future to the club with a new long-term contract. The 18-year-old has signed four-and-a-half year deal which keeps him at Goodison until the summer of 2016. It still doesn't solve all of our problems, but it at least gives us all a boost in the wake of a depressing few weeks for Everton. Hopefully this will mean a bouyant atmosphere at Goodison against Norwich on Saturday.
