Yakubu has completed a loan move to Championship side Leicester City with a view to a permanent transfer in the summer.
The move should free up some cash to spend on a loan signing with Monaco's Dieumerci Mbokani a rumoured target.
A more detailed look in the Nigerian's career to follow but for now we can only wonder what might have been had he not suffer such a horrendous injury just months after ending his first season at the club top of the scoring charts with 21 goals.
