Live Asian Cup Coverage (with Cahill)!

As a lot of you guys know, I'm an Australia fan. I know a lot of people don't care. I actually don't even care too much, but the Asian Cup is going on right now. Luckily, I am in the asian region so we have a comprehensive coverage of the Asian Cup over here.

Australia is playing India today at Doha, Qatar. Australia is the highest ranked squad while India is the lowest ranked side that qualified for the Asian Cup. Tim Cahill is starting for Australia, so it should be interesting to see how he does!

I'll update below on what's going and how Tim Cahill is doing! So root for Australia

match has started. Australia is heavily favored, as they should be. Only one player for India plays outside of India and that is Sunil Chetri who plays for Sporting Kansas City in the US.

Australia has looked mediocre so far, but they have still dominated possession.

There is a huge Indian fanbase over there in Qatar it looks like. Much more cheers for them, even though they have one of the worst football teams in the world. I respect that.

Tim Cahill scores!

Australia up 1-0. Defensive breakdown and a cross lands right to Cahill who nods it in from around 3 yards out.

kicks it in, sorry not a header.

India actually don’t look too bad, solid play. Not too many threats in the offensive third for them though.

Harry Kewell goal. Hell of a shot. Bad defending again.

Cahill had an open goal yet managed to hit it right at the goalkeeper.

This Indian goalkeeper is pretty good. It would be 5-0 if not for him.

India do not look nearly as good as they did in the first half. Surprising that Aus hasn’t gone up by more yet.

Cahill has had more than a handful of chances. He is looking extremely dangerous in the attacking half. I like what I see

4-0 Tim Cahill and it's a header

Typical goal from him. It was bound to happen sooner or later.

Championship player Scott McDonald (Middlesborough) has come on for former Liverpool player Harry Kewell.

Brett Emerton from Blackburn has been substituted out for Nathan Burns

Great game for him, really played well distributing the ball

Great chance for Sunil Chhetri of India, when he got clean through to goal, but he just couldnt pull the trigger.

4-0 Australia over India FT

Australia really should have been up by more. Tim Cahill, even though he had 2 goals, could have scored more. India played valiantly in the 1st half, but they just couldn’t keep up in the 2nd. I have to give some props to the Indian fanbase who showed up cheered extremely loud, and stayed even after Australia went up big. All the Prem League players (Schwarzer, Emerton, Carney, Cahill) all looked really good.

I had the chance to watch the last 10 minutes. I stopped after 5, it was too one-sided.
